Iowa Registered Championship Races September 22 & 23 2018

Rules & Conditions

All horses entered will be assigned to the championship, consolation, or B Class races based on points and the tie breaker rules. Horses must have raced in at least one A Class in 2018 to be eligible for the championship or
consolation races. B class races with fewer than four entries will be combined with the other sex. No claiming
on B class races. All horses entered will be able to race.

Horses in the championship races on Sunday must be in the designated detention barn by noon Saturday September 22
or they will be scratched. Security will be provided by Per-Mar Security from 11 AM Saturday until Noon Sunday. No sleeping in the detention barn overnight by horsemen. Stall in the detention barn will not be assigned. Stalling of horses will be on a first come, first choice basis. No saving of stalls.

Trainers will be asked to provide cell phone numbers so they can be notified by security if there is a problem.
Lasix All Lasix will be administered by a Veterinarian hired by the IHHA on Sunday September 23.

Lasix can be administered by trainers on September 22

Post race testing –September 23- all winners and one randomly selected horse from each race will be tested.
Saturday September 22- Testing will be done on a random basis.

Points for horse of the year- Points will be awarded for championship and consolation races toward horse of the
