Starting off the week (11/22), Nat A Cam raced from post position four in race four at Oak Grove.  Away first to the quarter, Nat A Cam (Todd Warren) relinquished the lead to sit second as they passed the half.  Second by a length around the final turn, Nat A Cam hit the wire in 1:54 flat, finishing second by only a third of a length for owner Keith Carey.

 

In sunny Florida, SVF Cash Deposit (Ronald Cusimano) drew the three-hole in race two at Pompano.  Getting away fourth, SVF Cash Deposit sprang for the lead as they hit the half-way mark.  With a four-length lead at the top of the stretch, SVF Cash Deposit took it to the bank, winning in 1:57.3.

 

At Yonkers Raceway, Minnie Vinnie (Dexter Dunn) got away sixth from the five-hole in race eight.  Parked out until the lane, Minnie Vinnie hit the board for third, his mile in 1:55.1, for owners Jesse DeLong, Thomas Carey and Rick Huffman.

 

Fred And Roz (Kurt Sugg) competed in race seven from the five-hole at Northfield Park on Tuesday (11/23).  Parked the entire mile, Fred And Roz showed heart to cross the wire with a win, pacing in 1:55.2.

 

From north to south, Ricky Be Sharp (Dale Hiteman) didn’t draw very well in race ten at Pompano.  Sixth from the seven-hole, Ricky Be Sharp tracked the field as they raced around the track.  Fifth, as they hit the stretch drive, Ricky Be Sharp trotted his last quarter in 30 flat to capture third, his mile in 1:58.2.

 

At Saratoga, Battle Queen (Jim Devaux) trotted out to second from the six-hole in race nine.  Not content with a pocket trip, Battle Queen gained the lead and didn’t look back.  Across the wire in 2:00.3, Battle Queen was victorious by two lengths, paying a whopping $11.20 to win!

 

Southern Desire (Aaron Merriman) and Marced In Faith (Dave Palone) competed against each other in race five at The Meadows.  As the gate folded, Marced In Faith raced second, with Southern Desire tracking third behind her.  Sitting in position, Southern Desire waited until horses fanned out across the track to make a move in the stretch.  With a last quarter in 29.4, Southern Desire pulled ahead of Marced In Faith.  Race time in 1:57 flat, Southern Desire picked up the win for Aimes Racing.

 

With a ten-hole post position, Always Choose Chip (Aaron Merriman) tried her luck in race seven.  Eighth at the quarter, sixth at the half, Always Choose Chip found herself with the lead as they passed the three-quarter, but double parked.  As dust was flying from the bike’s wheels, Always Choose Chip chose to crush her competition, winning in 1:56.1 by over thirteen lengths.

 

In the “Iowa Preferred”, race twelve, First Gunner (Dave Palone) drew the five, It’s So Fluffy (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) the six and Exhibition Day the seven hole.  First Gunner gunned for the lead, hitting the quarter-pole in 27.4, with It’s So Fluffy in fifth as Exhibition Day sat back in eighth.  As the horses jockeyed for position, First Gunner found himself pushed back to fourth at the three-quarter, as It’s So Fluffy worked her way up to second.  Trotting across the wire, Iowa horses finished third, fourth and fifth, with It’s So Fluffy picking up show money.

 

Race thirteen, Nutter Butter (Dave Palone) raced from the rail.  Fourth until after the half, Nutter Butter cruised up to take over the lead.  Holding off all challengers, it was Nutter Butter for the win, trotting in 2:00.1.

 

Wednesday (11/24) at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Freddie Faves (Troy Beyer) was on a mission from the six-hole.  Setting the pace in 28.3, 58.0 and 1:26.1, Freddie Faves was still on top as he turned for home.  With a wicked last quarter in 28.1, Freddie Faves was the winner by a neck in the photo, race time in 1:54.2.

 

CR Blazin Beauty (Brandon Parker) had the seven-hole in race eight at Monticello Raceway.  In a hard fought mile, CR Blazin Beauty worked her way from being double parked in seventh at the three-quarter-pole, to looking for racing room as they made the lane.  With a last quarter in 29.2, CR Blazin Beauty crossed the line victorious, trotting in 1:59 flat and paying $10.40 for win money!

 

At The Meadows, SV Tymal’s Image (Bryce Brocklehurst) and Lone Star Tap (Aaron Merriman) looked to do battle in race five.  Getting away fifth from the four-hole, SV Tymal’s Image sat in behind Lone Star Tap who got away third from post position seven.  As Lone Star Tap moved to the outside, SV Tymal’s Image followed suit, both parked as they raced past the three-quarter-pole.  Trotting for the wire, Lone Star Tap finished second in 1:58.3 while SV Tymal’s Image captured third, trotting in 1:58.4.

 

RD Skippy (Brady Brown) got away sixth from the five-hole in race nine.  Waiting until the lane for racing room, RD Skippy cut through horses to stick his head over the line, pacing in 1:55 flat and lighting up the tote, paying $14 to win.

 

In race eleven, Officerincommand (Dave Palone) made a commanding move to take the lead from the seven hole.  As Stay Close (Wilbur Yoder) took over as they trotted past the half, Officerincommand stayed close to the leader.  Rounding the last turn, Officerincommand placed second, trotting in 1:58 flat.

 

Over to Yonkers Raceway, Bitty Bitty (Jason Bartlett) drove out of the five-hole to sit third as race two started.  Past the half, Bitty Bitty pulled out to challenge the leader.  Up by less than a length, Bitty Bitty poured it on as she raced down the lane.  In the photo finish, it was Bitty Bitty picking up the win for Its Only Money Stable, race time in 1:54.0.

 

Friday (11/26) at Cal Expo, Dance Traveler (Mel Mullet) sat sixth from the six-hole until the stretch.  With a brush down the lane, Dance Traveler finished second, his race in 1:57.3.

 

In race seven, Cal’s Hope (James Kennedy) and May Day Maggie (Nick Roland) competed.  As the gate folded, May Day Maggie was parked third from the four-hole while Cal’s Hope floated into seventh from the seven.  Hard charging on the outside, Cal’s Hope was still parked as he gained the lead at the three-quarter-pole.  As May Day Maggie dealt with traffic, Cal’s Hope strove for the wire.  As the wire loomed, May Day Maggie put in a valiant effort, but was beaten by a nose.  Up for the win in 1:57.2, Cal’s Hope paid out $54.40 and the Iowa exacta paid a nice $77.50!!

 

Frewil Dakota Sven (Nick Roland) drew the two-hole in race nine, the Open III.  Frewil Dakota Sven didn’t want the pocket, and marched on to take the lead as they reached the half.  Pacing home in 28.2, it was Frewil Dakota Sven for the win, time in 1:56.1.

 

Race two at Cumberland Raceway, there was no disguising SB Angelindisguise (Dan Deslandes) intention to take control from the six-hole.  Cutting the mile in 29.1, 59.2 and 1:28.2, SB Angelindisguise was still up by over a length as they rounded the last turn.  Hanging on by a head, SB Angelindisguise captured the win, race time in 1:59.4.

 

Operation Shipley and Tim Tetrick teamed up in race ten at Harrah’s Philadelphia.  Leaving out from the three-hole, Operation Shipley took the lead.  While Fashion On A Star (Pat Berry) shot to the front, Operation Shipley protected her position on the rail.  Letting horses battle around the track, Operation Shipley found an opening as she spotted the finish line.  Trotting home in 29.3, Operation Shipley grabbed the win, race time in 1:58 flat.

 

Sunday (11/28) at Cal Expo, Artspire (Nick Roland) had the eight-hole while Frisky Pedro (Luke Plano) drew the six in the opener.  Frisky Pedro made a bold move for the front while Artspire got away eighth as they raced past the opening quarter.  While Frisky Pedro led the pack, Artspire worked his way up through the field on the outside.  As horses turned for home, Frisky Pedro was second by a head and Artspire moved up to third.  Iowa horses hit the board, Artspire for second in 1:55.4 and Frisky Pedro held on for third, his mile in 1:56.1.

 

In race nine, it was a tough race from behind when Marced Magic (James Kennedy) drew the seven-hole.  Seventh at the quarter, parked sixth to the three-quarter-pole, Marced Magic was fifth at the top of the lane.  Pacing his last quarter in 28.1, Marced Magic hit the line to finish third, his mile in 1:55.2.

 

With a five-hole draw in race five at Oak Grove, That’s My Leroy (Joey Putnam) cruised out to third as the race started.  Sitting third, That’s My Leroy waited until the home stretch to make a move.  Pacing his last quarter in 30.0, That’s My Leroy picked up the win by a head, racing in 1:55.4.

 

Race two at Pompano, SVF Cash Deposit (Ronald Cusimano) got parked third to the quarter from the three-hole.  Gaining the rail, SVF Cash Deposit sat in the pocket as they raced around the track.  Crossing the line second, SVF Cash Deposit trotted his mile in 1:58.3.
