Yonkers Raceway had two Iowa grads draw in on Monday (11/18).  Heavy Handed Hanna (Eric Goodall) started off the card, drawing the three hole in race one.  Getting parked from the start, Heavy Handed Hanna had a rough trip, but managed to place third, going her mile in 1:57.4.

 

Snobbytown picked up the win in race six.  George Brennan asked his filly to leave the gate from the five hole, and handily grabbed the lead.  Snobbytown showed the way, pacing the quarters in 27.2, 58.3 and 1:26.4.  With a last quarter in 28.1, Snobbytown scored the win in 1:55.0.

 

On Tuesday (11/19) at The Meadows, multiple Iowa horses hit the board.  Race three saw Selma O’brien (Jim Pantaleano) take to the track.  Sitting parked third at the quarter, Selma O’brien made a bold move to take the top.  Holding off challenger Sweet To See (Greg Wright, Jr), Selma O’brien crossed the wire, winning by a length, mile in 1:56.0.

 

Jackpot Jessie competed in race four.  Getting away eighth from the eight hole, Jackpot Jessie and driver Jerry Kehm had a ton of ground to make up.  Grinding her way on the outside, Jackpot Jessie picked off the field and placed second by a head.  Her hard fought mile went in 1:56.3, with the fastest last quarter in the race of 28.2.

 

In race eleven, Wx Dontworryboutit (Aaron Merriman) drew the rail.  Parked fourth at the quarter, Wx Dontworryboutit  battled with challenger Miss Martha Jones (Brady Brown), eventually capturing second, pacing her mile in 1:57.0.

 

Over to Dayton Raceway on Tuesday, race eleven featured a blistering mile by Minnie Vinnie (John De Long).  Leaving from post position three, Minnie Vinnie let the sprinters hash it out on top.  Tracking in fourth, Minnie Vinnie waited until the half to make his move.  Gaining the lead at the three quarter pole, Minnie Vinnie crossed the wire in 1:52.2, with the win for owners Jesse De Long, Thomas Carey and Rick Huffman.

 

Wednesday racing (11/20) started at Saratoga Harness.  With post position five, Oh Toodles (Jay Randall) got away fifth.  Sitting patiently, Oh Toodles charged down the stretch, pacing the last quarter in 28.2.  His mile timed in 1:55.0, Oh Toodles snuck up to steal second place for owner Debbie Phillip.

 

Frisky Pedro scored the victory in race seven at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Wednesday.  With Harness Racing Hall of Fame driver Tim Tetrick in the bike, Frisky Pedro was third at the quarter but took over the lead at the half.  Going head to head with Rock Me Hard (W. Bart Dalious), Frisky Pedro put away the challenger in the stretch, winning by four lengths.  Pacing his mile in 1:54.1, Frisky Pedro returned to the winners circle for owners Thomas Carey, Alan Eden and Rick Huffman.

 

At The Meadows, Red Neck Sioux (Jason Merriman) also hit the board on Wednesday.  Placing third in race nine, Red Neck Sioux trotted his mile in 2:00.4.

 

On Friday (11/22), Iowa horses were into race at four different tracks.  Starting off the day at The Meadows, Pond Jumper (Brady Brown) trotted out to take the lead in race two.  Surrendering his position to eventual winner Flammable (Mike Wilder), Pond Jumper fought off Truman Jr Hanover (Dave Palone) to place second, his mile trotted in 1:57.1.

 

The rail did not do any favors for My Money Honey in race nine.  After getting away fourth, My Money Honey, driven by Mike Wilder, was shuffled back to seventh by the three quarter pole.  Sitting sixth at the top of the stretch, My Money Honey powered down the lane to get up for second, pacing his mile in 1:54.4 with an impressive last quarter in 27.4.

 

In the Open II Trot at Batavia Downs, CR Blazin Beauty (John Cummins Jr) also had a tough trip, but placed third, trotting in 1:59.3

 

Pretty Boy Swag (Jason Bartlett) was in complete control in race seven at Yonkers Raceway.  Pushing the gate out of his way, Pretty Boy Swag charged to the top from the six hole.  Setting the pace in 27.2, 56.01, 1:24.1, Pretty Boy Swag captured the mile in 1:53.2, last quarter in 29.1, winning by two lengths.

 

Saturday night (11/23) at Cal-Expo, Iowa grads were in multiple races.  In race two, Flash Me Baby (Nick Roland) quickly got the lead from post position two, but was taken over and held on for third, pacing her mile in 1:58.3.

 

Scramble Camp also finished third in race three, the Open III Trot.  With Nick Roland in the bike, Scramble Camp left from the eight hole, getting away third.  Holding on to his position, Scramble Camp placed third, trotting in 1:57.4 for owner Jeralene Roland.

 

Two horses bred by Duane Roland drew into race four.  Diamonds Are Trump (Nick Roland) drew the two hole and Queen Of Marcs (Braxton Boyd) started from post position six.  As the gate folded, Mystic Woman (James Kennedy) sprinted from the nine hole to take the lead with Diamonds Are Trump sitting in her back.  Queen Of Marcs quickly took over at the half.  Pacing down the stretch, Diamonds Are Trump put a head in front as they crossed the wire. Pacing in 1:57.3, last quarter in 28.3, Diamonds Are Trump trumped the field for the win.  Queen Of Marcs held on for second, also pacing her mile in 1:57.3 with a last quarter in 29.1.

 

Lakota Law (Nick Roland) picked up a check in race six.  After getting away second, Lakota Law was pushed back to fourth at the half.  Still fourth at the top of the stretch, Lakota Law put in a big effort, pacing in 1:56.1, to pick up second place.

 

In race eight, Bunkerhill Jill (Steve Wiseman) showed heart.  Being seventh at the top of the stretch, Bunkerhill Jill poured it in on to finish third, her mile in 1:57.3.
