Monday (3/28) at Dover Downs, Here Comes Teddy (Anthony Morgan) got away second from the two-hole in race four.  Sitting second around the track, Here Comes Teddy protected his position as they crossed the finish line, placing second in 1:54.4.

 

Almost Karen (Josh Sutton) drew post-position five in the thirteenth race at Miami Valley Raceway on Tuesday (3/29).  Racing up to third at the quarter-pole, Almost Karen held her place, as horses raced on the outside.  Reaching the stretch, Almost Karen paced home in 28.4, capturing third place in 1:54.4.

 

At The Meadows on Wednesday (3/30), Heavy Handed Hanna (Ridge Warren) started from post-position four in race seven.  Third at the quarter-pole, Heavy Handed Hanna sat third until the top of the stretch.  Pacing down the lane, Heavy Handed Hanna hit the wire for second place, her mile in 1:56.1.

 

DP Rocket competed from the seven-hole in race three at Yonkers Raceway.  Parked first to the quarter, DP Rocket cut the mile in 28.2, 57.4 and 1:27.3.  Leading horses down the lane, DP Rocket was beaten by a length, picking up second place, his mile in 1:58.1.

 

On Thursday (3/31) at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Toast The Host (Sam Widger) left smartly from the four-hole to take the lead as they reached the first quarter pole.  Relinquishing the lead, Toast The Host sat in the pocket as they raced around the track.  As they raced the long Hoosier stretch, Toast The Host trotted home in 28.3, hitting the board for second, her mile in 1:57.1.

 

Gumbolaya (Ronnie Wrenn Jr) had the five-hole in race four at The Meadows.  Sitting third until they rounded the last turn, Gumbolaya turned in a spicy last quarter of 30.1 to grab second place, his mile in 1:57.1.

 

In race ten, Legal Liar (Hunter Myers) didn’t let the five-hole deter him from leaving the gate.   Racing out to second, Legal Liar sat in the pocket until the stretch.  Unable to hold on to his position, Legal Liar managed to cross the wire for third, his mile in 1:55 flat for owner Gary Liles.

 

Over to Yonkers Raceway, Bitty Bitty (Jason Bartlett) paced out of the two-hole to also take a pocket trip.  Back a length as they turned for home, Bitty Bitty battled to the line.  Beaten by a head in the photo finish, Bitty Bitty paced her mile in a blistering 1:52.4 for owners Its Only Money Stable.

 

Friday (4/1) at Cal Expo, in race four, Three-Year-Old Fillies California Sire Stakes, Give Me This Dance (Nick Roland) and Anotherblazinwoman looked to compete against each other.  As Give Me This Dance charged from the four-hole to take command, Anotherblazinwoman settled into fourth from the five-hole.  Leading the dance, Give Me This Dance set the pace in 28.1, 59.2 and 1:28.4, while Anotherblazinwoman worked her way into second as they hit the last turn.  Racing for the finish line, it was all Give Me This Dance for the win, her mile in 1:56.1, with Anotherblazinwoman in second.  Congratulations to Alan and Cheryl Sandbulte, their fillies finishing one-two in the sire stakes.

 

In the Distance Derby Elimination, race eight, Frewil Dakota Sven (Richard Bertrand) got away third from the rail.  Making his way up to take over at the half, Frewil Dakota Sven was still in front as they hit the top of the stretch.  With a valiant effort, Frewil Dakota Sven held on for third in this 1 ½ mile race, his time in 2:56.2.

 

Up in Buffalo Raceway on Saturday (4/2), My Money Honey (Kyle Cummings) had post-position two in race eight.  Getting away third, My Money Honey stayed in third the entire mile.  Pacing his race in 1:56.4, My Money Honey picked up a third place check.

 

May Day Maggie (Nick Roland) grabbed the lead at the start from the four-hole in race nine at Cal Expo on Sunday (4/3).  Still up at the half, May Day Maggie battled challenger Prom Queen (Lemoyne Svendsen) as they raced past the three-quarters, with a 27.3 split fraction.  Second at the top of the lane, May Day Maggie fought down to the wire, placing second by under a length, her mile in 1:56.3.

 

In race two at Miami Valley Raceway, Freddie Faves (Jeremy Smith) drew the three-hole.  As the gate folded, Whiskeyontherocks (Trevor Smith) take the lead, while Freddie Faves decided to take the pocket trip.  Staying on his back, Freddie Faves waited until the lane to make a move.  Pacing the last quarter in 28.2, Freddie Faves hit the wire in a three-way photo finish, winning by a nose in 1:52.4.

 

Loussolataire (Chris Page) had the four-hole in the next race.  Trotting out to second, Loussolataire found herself parked seventh at the three-quarter-pole.  Making up lengths in the stretch, Loussolataire managed to hit the board for show, her mile in 1:57.4.

 

At Saratoga Harness, Battle Queen (Billy Dobson) competed from post-position five in race ten.  Away fourth at the quarter, Battle Queen was still fourth as they past the three-quarters.  With racing room in the lane, Battle Queen trotted to the line to finish second, her mile in 1:58 flat.

 

Race two at The Downs At Mohegan Sun Pocono saw Juxta Cowgirl (Jim Marohn Jr) racing from the two-hole. Sitting second until the last turn, Juxta Cowgirl crossed the finish line in third, her mile in 1:55.0.
