On Tuesday (3/15) at Pompano Park, SVF Cash Deposit (Andrew McCarthy) trotted out smartly from the four-hole in race seven.  First at the quarter-pole, SVF Cash Deposit relinquished his lead, opting for the pocket trip behind Might Surf (David Miller).  Drafting behind the leader, SVF Cash Deposit was unable to make up any ground in the stretch, but finished a good second, trotting in 1:55.2.

 

In race nine, Fred And Roz (Andy Shetler) had the three-hole and got away fourth at the quarter.  Past the half, Fred And Roz made a move to the outside.  Finding cover, Fred And Roz tracked up to second at the top of the lane.  With a last quarter of 28.1, Fred And Roz hit the board for place, his mile in 1:54.2.

 

First Gunner (Keith Kash Jr) drew post position five in the opener at Northfield Park on Wednesday (3/16).  Parked fifth at the quarter-pole, First Gunner was parked the entire mile.  Fourth at the top of the stretch, First Gunner showed heart to capture third, trotting in 1:58.1, last quarter in 30 flat.

 

At Yonkers Raceway, DP Rocket (Matt Kakaley) had the seven-hole in race five.  Pushing the gate out of the way, DP Rocket fired up into second at the quarter-pole.  With the perfect pocket trip, DP Rocket waited until the last turn to make a move on the leader.  Trotting a blistering last quarter in 28.4, DP Rocket was photoed out of first, by a head, his mile in 1:56.1.

 

Looking for a little luck from the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, Heavy Handed Hanna had a lucky post-position draw of the rail in race eight at The Meadows on Thursday (3/17).  Letting Rockin Remi (Hunter Myers) set the pace, Heavy Handed Hanna sat patiently on her back.  Looking for racing room down the lane, Heavy Handed Hanna poured it on.  Pacing home in 28.3, it was all Heavy Handed Hanna for the win, mile in 1:56.0.

 

Friday (3/18) at Cal Expo in race six, Shesureissomething (Cordaruis Stewart) was parked third to the quarter from the six hole.  Gaining the top as she reached the half, Shesureissomething led the field to the three-quarter pole.  Still up by a length as they raced around the last turn, Shesureissomething was a sure winner for owners Alan and Cheryl Sandbulte, as she crossed the wire in 1:53.4.

 

In race seven, Dance Traveler (Gerald Longo) got away eighth from the eight-hole.  As horses lined up on the outside, Dance Traveler pulled in behind, parked sixth at the half.  Parked fourth at the three-quarter, Dance Traveler waited for the leaders to hit the stretch.  Pacing his last quarter in 28.1, Dance Traveler managed to score third, his mile in 1:56 flat.

 

In the sixth race at Northfield Park on Saturday (3/19), Jumping Jillybean (Mitchell Cushing) drew post-position four.  Second at the quarter, Jumping Jillybean took the pocket trip behind leader, Cardiff (Hunter Meyers).  Second by two lengths at the top of the lane, Jumping Jillybean fought hard for the line, finishing second by a head in 1:56.4.

 

On Sunday, Brooklyn Moonshine (Luke Plano) had the five-hole in the opener at Cal Expo.  Leaving the gate, Brooklyn Moonshine wasted no time to fall in behind the leader, More More More (NIck Roland).Still second at the half, Brooklyn Moonshine held her position on the rail as challengers raced on the outside.  Pushed back to third, Brooklyn Moonshine made her move down the stretch, hitting the board for place, mile in 1:55.0.

 

In race eleven, Frisky Pedro (Nick Roland) had the six-hole.  Driven hard from the gate, Frisky Pedro was parked fourth to the quarter.  Finding room on the rail, Frisky Pedro settled into fifth as they passed the half.  Around the last turn, Frisky Pedro had over three lengths to make up.  Last quarter in 28.0, Frisky Pedro was victorious in 1:55.1 as he crossed the finish line.

 

Battle Queen (Billy Dobson) had the rail in race thirteen at Saratoga Harness.  Cutting the mile in 28.1, 58.3 and 1:27.3, Battle Queen was able to hold on for third, her mile in 2:00.1.

 

At The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, Juxta Cowgirl (Braxton Boyd) drew post-position eight in the opener.  With a mad dash for the front, Juxta Cowgirl was parked second by a head as they reached the quarter-pole.  Taking command of the race, Juxta Cowgirl hit the half in 56.3, three-quarter in 1:24.4.  Up by two at the top of the lane, Juxta Cowgirl paced to the wire for the win, in 1:53.4.

 

Western Waltz (Braxton Boyd) did not fare much better in the draw.  Leaving hard from the seven-hole, Western Waltz gained the lead in 27.4.  Letting Captain My Captain (Tyler Buter) take over, Western Waltz sat second as they raced around the track.  Down to the wire, Western Waltz paced home for third, his mile in 1:53.4.
