On Tuesday (11/10) race two at The Meadows featured several of our Iowa graduates.  With Heavy Handed Hanna (Brady Brown) on the rail, Glorynhonorforever (Aaron Merriman) in the three-hole, Abilene (Dave Palone) with the four-hole and Supreme Dumpling (Brady Jenson) drawing the six.  As the gate folded, Abilene shot out for the lead, with Glorynhonorforever taking the pocket.  Heavy Handed Hanna got away fifth and Supreme Dumpling at the back of the back in seventh.  Abilene set the pace, cutting the mile in 28.0, 58.2, and the three-quarters in 1:27.0. While Heavy Handed Hanna slowly made her way back through the pack, Supreme Dumpling pulled past the quarter, making headway on the outside.  As horses rounded the last turn, It was all Abilene as she crossed the wire in 1:56.1.  Glorynhonorforever, three lengths behind, picked up second and Supreme Dumpling was right there for third place, making it an Iowa Graduate trifecta!

Later in race six, Ivy B Poison (Jim Pantaleano) drew post-position three.  Without a look back, Ivy B Poison fought for the lead, parked to the quarter in 27.2.  Finally taking complete control as they raced to the three-quarter pole, Ivy B Poison put a head in front.  Charging down the lane in 29.4, Ivy B Poison picked up the win in 1:54.4.

All Taylor Made was into race on Wednesday (11/11) at The Meadows.  Dan Rawlings sent All Taylor Made on a mission to the top, as she left from the five-hole.  Cutting the mile in 28.2, 59.1, 1:28.3, All Taylor Made led the field down the stretch.  Beaten by a head, All Taylor Made trotted her mile in 1:57.4 to finish second.

At Monticello Raceway, Roland N Rock competed in race six.  With the outside rail, Roland N Rock (Miguel Alejo-Hernandez) got away sixth by over fourteen lengths.  Pulling, Roland N Rock made up ground to sit second on the outside as they raced past the three-quarter pole.  Hitting the board for second place, Roland N Rock paced his mile in 1:57.4 for owners Duane and Connie Roland.

In race five, the Open I at Batavia Downs, CR Blazin Beauty (David McNeight III) left from the six hole.  As she could see the field in front of her, CR Blazin Beauty trotted from seventh to fifth as they rounded the last turn.  With a last quarter in 30.1, CR Blazin Beauty finished third, her mile in 1:57.4.

Thursday (11/12) Snobbytown was assigned the four-hole in race seven, the F&M Preferred HDP at Yonkers Raceway.  With her usual driver, George Brennan, in the sulky, Snobbytown pushed the gate out of the way to take the lead, first quarter in 27.1.  Still leading at the half, Lady Dela Renta A (Jordan Stratton) pulled along side.  Matching stride for stride, the two leaders battled down the stretch.  Beaten by only three-quarters of a length, Snobbytown held on for second, her mile paced in 1:53.4.

Back to The Meadows on Friday (11/13), Lone Star Tap drew post position six in race nine.  As the horses trotted out of the gate, Lone Star Tap (Jim Pantaleano) floated into fifth.  Steadily making his way up the field, Lone Star Tap was sitting second at the top of the stretch.  Trotting a last quarter in 30 flat, Lone Star Tap crossed the wire for the win, in 1:57.4.

Aimes Racing had their eyes on race ten at Harrah’s Philadelphia as Shining Jewels took the track.  Driving her hard from the gate, Anthony Morgan took Shining Jewels to the front, setting the pace in 27.0, 57.0 and 1:25.2.  As the wire neared, Shining Jewels hit the board in second, her mile 1:54.1, beaten only by a quarter of a length.
