WHAT CHEER, IOWA (June 23, 2024) – With the sun in the sky and fans in the grandstand, Free For All Pacers took to the track at What Cheer for the opener on Sunday (6/23). Iowa favorites lined up, waiting for the starter to give the word.
As the gate folded, Red N Hot Allover (Chad Svendsen) cruised up from the rail to take the lead, parking Its A Marcs World (Jason Ludwig) to the quarter in 29.3, as Jennie Ann (Rob Anderson) dropped nicely into the pocket. Under urging, Its A Marcs World stepped up to take over, racing to the half in 59.3.
As they paced around the turn, Jennie Ann pulled to the outside, making a bold move to the front. Leaving the field behind, Jennie Ann raced past the three-quarter-pole in 1:30.3. Still in full command, Jennie Ann was all alone as she turned towards the lane.
Minnie Vinnie (Kolton Hauser) made up ground, overtaking second position, but it was all Jennie Ann as she crossed the wire. In her second start of the Iowa racing season, Jennie Ann picked up the win for owner, trainer, driver Rob Anderson, pacing in 1:59.4.
Iowa racing resumes on Saturday (6/29) featuring Iowa Sired two and three year olds. Post time is scheduled for 12:30pm CST.
