Tuesday (3/12) at Dover Downs, Billy Eyelash (Montrell Teague) drew the five-hole in race eight, W/OF2-W, $14000. Getting away third, Billy Eyelash sat in position as they raced around the track. Still third as they turned for home, Billy Eyelash had eyes on the finish line. With a great effort, Billy Eyelash picked up second, pacing in 1:54.1.
CR Dudley (Rick Harp) competed at Monticello Raceway in race three, NW900PSL5, $6200. Fifth from the five-hole at the quarter, CR Dudley waited until the lane to make a move. With a last quarter in 28.3, CR Dudley sprinted up for show, pacing his mile in 1:58.1.
In race seven, MADCNW1500, $5500, at Rosecroft Raceway, Freddie Faves (Newton (Yogi) Sheridan) had post-position seven. Third at the quarter, Freddie Faves was shuffled back to fifth as they raced the last turn. Trying to gain on the leader, Freddie Faves picked up a third place check, his mile in 1:57.2.
On Wednesday (3/13), Cashncam (Mcgwire Sowers) had the two-hole in race four at Monticello Raceway, NW300PSL5, $3200. Fourth at the quarter, Cashncam pulled to the outside. Parked until the three-quarters, Cashncam finally got room as they hit the stretch. Pacing hard to the wire, Cashncam scored second place, pacing in 1:56.2.
Juneparker (Jim Devaux) and Sheeznotkidncowboy (Kyle Dibenedetto) competed against each other in the next race. Leaving from the three-hole, Juneparker went straight to the top. Setting the pace in 29.3, 59.1 and 1:28.4, Juneparker led the field around the track, while Sheeznotkidncowboy raced fifth. As she turned for home, Juneparker didn’t look back, taking the win in 1:58.1. Sheeznotkidncowboy benefited from another horse breaking stride, pacing up to hit the board for place.
Beat Cop (Tim Tetrick) had the six-hole in race two at Dover Downs on Thursday (3/14), DSBF LC, $10000. As the gate folded, Beat Cop beat them all to take the lead. With wicked fractions in 27.4, 56.2 and 1:24 flat, Beat Cop was the one to beat, up by ten lengths as he raced down the lane. With no challengers in sight, Beat Cop was declared victor, pacing in 1:52.1.
At Hollywood Casino at the Meadows, Exhibition Day (Hunter Myers) competed from the seven-hole in race eight, NW1200L4, $6000. Sitting sixth until the half, Exhibition Day pulled, parked third as they raced past the three-quarter-pole. Gaining with each stride, Exhibition Day trotted his last quarter in 30.2 to hit the wire for the win, mile in 1:58 flat.
Friday (3/15) at Cal Expo, Shirley Skip Shady (Luke Plano) had the rail while What Cheer (Nick Roland drew beside her in the opener, FMtme<72, $4000. Shirley Skip Shady lost no time, taking the lead as the gate folded, with What Cheer dropping into third as they raced to the quarter-pole. Setting the fractions in 28.4, 58.1 and 1:26.1, Shirley Skip Shady was in full command with six length lead as she hit the top of the lane. Cruising home for the victory in 1:53.1, Shirley Skip Shady secured the win by over eight lengths, and What Cheer hit the board for show for owners Royal Roland and Roger Roland.
In race four, T/PInvite, $6000, Omaha Storm Chaser (Justin Van Otterloo) had the three-hole. Racing to the rail, Omaha Storm Chaser held off challengers, gaining the lead before the half. Still on top as she headed for the wire, Omaha Storm Chaser held off all challengers. Pacing her mile in 1:57.4, Omaha Storm Chaser brought home the win for owner Wilda McDanel.
Cal’s Hope (James Kennedy) had the six-hole in race six, NW1001-5, $3500. Tracking the field, Cal’s Hope sat sixth until they reached the final turn. Pacing home in 28.2, Cal’s Hope gained ground to finish third, pacing in 1:55.2.
In race eight TMR<67, $3500, Hunky Dory (Luke Plano) didn’t think her post was very pretty, drawing the eight-hole. With a sprint out of the gate, Hunky Dory managed to get fourth at the quarter. Pulling first up before the half, Hunky Dory gained ground to look the leader in the eye as they raced past the three-quarters. As the leaders battled down the stretch, Hunky Dory showed more heart, picking up the win in 1:55.2, last quarter in 28.4.
Over to Freehold Raceway, Almost Karen (Vincent Ginsburg) had post-position four in race seven, FMNW3500L5, $6300. Without a second thought, Almost Karen pushed the gate out of her way to take the lead. Cutting the mile in 29.2, 59.0 and 1:27.2, Almost Karen was intent on putting the field away. Charging home in 28.3, Almost Karen picked up the win in 1:56. Flat.
Ricky B Sharp (Michael Baumeister) drew the two-hole in the opener at Buffalo Raceway on Saturday (3/16), Open Trot II, $10400. As the race started, Ricky B Sharp settled into third as they reached the quarter-pole. Still third at the half, Ricky B Sharp tried a move first up, still third at the three quarter, but now on the outside. Unable to gain any ground, Ricky B Sharp collected a third place check, trotting in 1:58.2.
In race eleven, My Money Honey (Kyle Cummings) was looking for cash as he competed in NW2500L4, $7400. Getting away eighth from the eight-hole, My Money Honey found cover, making his way up to sit parked in sixth at the half. Still moving on, My Money Honey was fourth as they rounded the last turn. In a good effort, My Money Honey finished third, pacing in 1:57.3 only two lengths behind the winner.
Over to Pocono Downs At Mohegan Pennsylvania, Bizys Beatle (Braxten Boyd) had a rough start in race four, GAME 30CL, $17500. Impeded at the start, Bizys Beatle got away fifth from the two-hole. Gaining a position, Bizys Beatle raced fourth until they reached the stretch. Pacing his last quarter in 29.1, Bizys Beatle got up for third place, pacing in 1:53.1.
Sunday (3/17) at Cal Expo, Dance Traveler (Lemoyne Svendsen) drew post-position three in race three, TMR<75, $5000. Racing fourth around the track, Dance Traveler waited until the final turn to try his moves. Charging hard for the wire, Dance Traveler wound up third, pacing in 1:53.4.
Frewil Dakota Sven (James Kennedy) had the four-hole in race eleven, TMR<72, $4000. Fourth at the quarter, Frewil Dakota Sven raced up to second as they reached the half. Trying to overtake the leader, Frewil Dakota Sven raced on the outside, parked second looking down the lane. Fighting for the lead, Frewil Dakota Sven was placed second in the photo, his mile in 1:54.3.
