Iowa graduates are making a statement on the east coast.  On Monday (10/21), Oh Toodles and Snobbytown traveled to Yonkers Raceway to try their luck.

In race four, Oh Toodles driven by Jim Marohn, Jr, left from post position three, getting away third.  Tracking the field, Oh Toodles pulled past the half, taking the win by a nose in 1:55.4, for owner Debbie Phillip.

Snobbytown also came to try her luck on the Yonkers track.  Drawing the rail, Snobbytown, with George Brennen in the bike, took the lead as the gate folded.  Shecandance N (Jason Bartlett) applied pressure, eventually capturing the win.  But Snobbytown battled down the stretch, holding on for second by a head, pacing in 1:53.1.

Elsewhere in New York State, Pretty Boy Swag took complete control of race seven at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday (10/22).  With a wire to wire effort, Pretty Boy Swag (Cory Stratton) returned to the winner’s circle victorious, for owners Connie Roland, Roger Roland and Harmon Racing Stable, winning by two lengths in 1:55.1

A little further north, Jimmy Freight continues his season, racing at Woodbine Mohawk.  With another unfortunate post position, Jimmy Freight (Scott Zeron) started behind the nine hole for the Preferred Pace on Saturday (10/19).  Getting away fifth, Jimmy Freight toughed it out, pacing his mile in 1:50 to finish second by a head.  Watch for Jimmy Freight’s next start during Breeders Crown weekend (10/25 & 10/26) at Woodbine Mohawk.
